When you’re picking out an infrared lamp for your towel rail, your first instinct might be to just go for the most powerful one available. But here’s the thing: more power isn’t always better. It’s really all about how much space you’re trying to heat. If you overdo it, you’re just throwing money away on your electric bill. If you underdo it? You’re left with a damp towel on a chilly morning. Not a great way to start the day. Finding the sweet spot for your space If you’ve got a tiny bathroom—you know, those cozy little powder rooms under 4m²—you don’t need much. A small lamp (around 200W to 400W) does the trick.
